About Jack Milewski

Currently at Penn State I am a member of the student run radio station, CommRadio. As part of CommRadio I am one of the sports directors. My job is to oversee daily tasks related to the station while also organizing various sports broadcasts. I have been a sports director for three years. During my time at CommRadio I have beat written, board opped, produced and announced various Penn State sporting events.With CommRadio I have been able to announce events like the 2017 Rose Bowl and 2017 Fiesta Bowl.

In addition to CommRadio, I was also the radio voice for the Penn State women's volleyball team for two years. I traveled with the team and covered all home and away matches for the Penn State Athletics department. Through CommRadio I have broadcasted select games as part of Big Ten Student U. I have covered hockey, baseball and softball for the Big Ten Network. In the summer of 2016, I was the radio voice of the Alexandria Aces, a team in the Cal Ripken Collegiate baseball league. During the season I broadcasted all 40 games, both home and away. Recently I was hired as a freelance broadcaster for the Learfield radio network. In this capacity I have covered Penn State hockey as a color broadcaster starting in January of 2018.

Recently I was selected from a competitive pool to be a member of the Centre County Report. It is an emmy award winning show that airs live every Friday at 12 pm. It also is rebroadcast to 29 counties in Pennsylvania. On the show I am a reporter and have done multiple live shots. I also have worked the audio board and teleprompter and will be the sports anchor for a month.

Outside of my broadcast work, I also contributed to gopsusports.com as a student blog intern. In this capacity I produced written and video content for men's and women's volleyball as well as women's hockey. I have continued my writing and am currently a blog contributor to Blue Line Station, a New York Rangers blog on Fansided.com.

​

My goal is to be a play-by-play man for a professional hockey team. Hockey has always been the sport I am most passionate about and one which I am always intrigued by. My lifelong team has been the New York Rangers.
